Steven Fox

Legal Innovation + Technology Certificate
Class of 2022

Steven Fox is a 2L Legal Innovation + Technology Certificate evening student. Steven earned his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy minor from Iowa State University. After graduating, he joined the large healthcare company Abbott and stayed for 12 years before leaving to consult for other healthcare companies. 

At Abbott, Steven was an internal consultant, participating and later leading technology and compliance projects across all parts of the business spectrum.  In his experience with Abbott, Steven found an increasing passion for project management, process improvement, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, and policy. After working in a policy role with Abbott's food division, Steven worked closely on many issues with regulators and in-house counsel and developed a distinct interest in the law. With that interest came the decision to attend law school and grow new skills to complement those he learned in industry.

Steven chose to attend Chicago-Kent because of the school's focus on technology and the practice of law.  Steven is thrilled to learn about the law and especially the new tools that it provides in solving problems, especially in the technology field.
